Every Tasker here clears this first
We don’t show star ratings until real customers have reviewed real jobs. What’s true today is the standard everyone met to get here — so that’s what we show.

The band is the floor and ceiling the pricing engine uses for domestic cleaning across the GTA — the low end a small condo regular visit, the high end a large house or a first deep clean. Generated from the price table, not typed here, so it moves when the table does. It is not an average of past bookings: we do not have enough completed external work to publish one.

Post this taskWhat house cleaning actually costs here, and why
A house clean is the most repeatable service on this platform and the one people are least sure they are buying correctly. The confusion is almost never about price — it is about scope. Two cleaners can quote the same figure for the same house and mean quite different afternoons, because "a clean" is not a defined term and nobody writes down what it covers. This page is about that: what a regular visit actually includes, what is deliberately left out, and how to say what you want so the offer you accept is the job you get.
The reliable way to think about it is that a regular clean maintains a standard and a deep clean sets one. A regular visit assumes the place is already in reasonable order: floors, surfaces, bathrooms, kitchen exteriors, mirrors, bins. It does not assume inside the oven, behind the fridge, inside cupboards, or the window tracks — not because cleaners are cutting corners, but because those things do not need doing weekly and pricing them in every week would make the visit cost twice as much. If the house has not been cleaned properly in a while, the honest first booking is a deep clean, and every regular visit afterwards is cheaper for it.
What actually moves the number is bathrooms, not bedrooms. A bathroom is the slowest room in any home by some distance — three surfaces, glass, grout, and a fixture that has to be done properly rather than quickly — and the count of them predicts the hours better than square footage does. A three-bedroom, one-bathroom bungalow and a three-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse are the same listing description and not remotely the same job. Pets, hard floors instead of carpet, and how much is on the surfaces before anyone starts are the next three, in that order.
Say what you want in the post rather than after. The sentence that produces the sharpest offers is the boring one: how many bedrooms and bathrooms, whether it is a regular visit or a first deep clean, whether the lower level is included, whether there are pets, and whether you want the same person each time. Cleaners who read that quote a fixed price with confidence, because there is nothing left to discover on the doorstep. On Taskly you compare those complete prices before you pay, and the money is held until the work is done.

Local knowledge
Priced for how the GTA actually lives
Four things that change a house cleaning quote here, and nowhere else.
Bathrooms, not bedrooms
The bathroom count predicts the price better than the floor area
A bathroom is the slowest room in any home — surfaces, glass, grout and a fixture that has to be done properly. Three bedrooms and one bathroom is a materially shorter visit than three bedrooms and three, and the listing description for both is identical.
The first visit
A first clean is a different job from the ones that follow
A regular visit maintains a standard; a deep clean sets one. If the house has not been done properly in a while, booking a regular visit first is what produces a disappointing result and an awkward conversation. The deep clean makes every visit after it cheaper.
Same person, or anyone
Continuity is worth asking for, and it is not automatic
A cleaner who has done your house before knows where things go and works faster for it, which is why recurring visits with the same Tasker settle at a better price than a series of one-offs. Say in the post whether you want the same person each time.
What is on the surfaces
Tidying and cleaning are two different services
A cleaner who has to clear a surface before cleaning it is doing two pieces of work in the time quoted for one. Nothing wrong with asking for both — but say so, because "clean the kitchen" and "clear and clean the kitchen" are different amounts of work and only one of them was priced.
What a regular house clean usually includes
- Floors vacuumed and washed throughout
- Bathrooms: toilet, basin, bath or shower, glass and mirrors
- Kitchen surfaces, sink, hob and appliance exteriors
- Dusting of reachable surfaces, sills and skirting
- Bins emptied and liners replaced
Inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside cupboards and window tracks are deep-clean items and are quoted separately.
Try nowWorth settling before you accept an offer
- Regular visit or a first deep clean — they are different pieces of work
- How many bathrooms are actually in use
- Whether the lower level is included
- Whether products and equipment are supplied or yours are used
- Whether you want the same Tasker each visit

Questions
Frequently asked
GTA-specific answers to what people actually search for.
What is the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?
A regular visit maintains a standard: floors, surfaces, bathrooms, kitchen exteriors. A deep clean sets one, and adds what a weekly visit deliberately skips — inside the oven and fridge, behind furniture, baseboards, grout and window tracks. If the house has not been cleaned properly recently, book the deep clean first.
Do I need to be home?
Most people are not, and it is normal to arrange access rather than wait in. What matters is that the arrangement is agreed in the chat before the day rather than assumed — where the key is, whether there is an alarm code, whether a pet will be loose. Taskers ask; answering in advance saves the visit.
Do cleaners bring their own products?
Usually yes, and it is worth confirming in the offer. Some households prefer their own products for allergies, pets or a particular floor finish, which is entirely reasonable — say so in the post so the Tasker knows to leave the caddy in the van and use what is under your sink.
How many hours should a house clean take?
Bathrooms drive it more than floor area does. A one-bathroom condo regular visit is commonly two to three hours; a three-bathroom house is most of a day for one person. A first deep clean on the same house runs roughly half again as long as the regular visit that follows it.
Can I get the same cleaner every time?
Ask for it in the post. Continuity genuinely matters: a Tasker who has done your house before knows the layout, the products and where things go, and works faster for it. That is why a recurring booking with one person usually settles at a better rate than a series of unrelated one-offs.
