What Vaughan is getting done
Real open tasks from members in Vaughan, each with a budget attached. Post yours in a minute — local Taskers send fixed-price offers, and your money stays with Taskly until it's done.
Vaughan is the only municipality outside Toronto with subway stations on the TTC network, and the line ends at a downtown that did not exist twenty years ago. Around it sit Woodbridge and Kleinburg, village cores with narrow streets and old houses, and a belt of industrial land along Highway 7 larger than most towns.
No open tasks in Vaughan at this moment — be the first: post yours and nearby Taskers across the GTA can send offers today.
What Vaughan is made of
The subway ends here, and everything around it is new
The Line 1 extension opened in 2017 and put two stations inside Vaughan — the only subway stops in this region outside Toronto. The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre grew around them from an industrial crossroads into a cluster of new towers, which means new-build access rules: a booked service lift, a concierge sign-in, and a loading bay that closes in the evening.
Woodbridge and Kleinburg are older than the city around them
Kleinburg’s village street and Woodbridge’s Market Lane were there long before Vaughan became a city in 1991, and both keep the shape: frontages straight onto the road, no rear lane, and in Kleinburg large treed lots where the house sits a long way back from anywhere a vehicle can stop. A long carry in Kleinburg is a real part of the estimate rather than a surprise on the day.
Highway 7 is a working corridor, not a main street
The stretch of Vaughan along Highway 7 and Highway 400 is warehousing, food processing and trade counters rather than housing, and it fills before dawn. A task there means a gate, a shipper-receiver and a dock number. In Richmond Hill or Oakville the same kind of work is almost entirely residential.
Tasks come from Woodbridge, Maple, Thornhill, Concord, Kleinburg and Vellore Village.
