Landscaping crews hire in April and lay off in November, and the person doing the work has no say in either date. Taking it task by task means you choose the volume: a full week in spring, two days in August, and the option to move to snow clearing when the season turns rather than waiting to be called back.
Spring clean-ups and bed preparation, hedge and shrub trimming, mulch and soil deliveries spread, sod laid and watered in, retaining wall repairs, and autumn clearing before the first snow. Most are a day or less. The heavy build work — grading, walls over a certain height — comes with permits and is a different conversation.
