About the role
Taskly is hiring an HR Intern (also called a Talent Acquisition Intern, Recruitment Intern or People Operations Intern) for a remote, six-month internship. You will help a small, fully remote team hire well and welcome new people properly.
You will work with the founder on the hiring process Taskly already runs. It has a five-minute application, a 45-minute conversation, a day on a real problem and a written decision with the reason. Every applicant gets a reply from a person within ten working days, and that promise depends on someone keeping the pipeline moving. The team spans India, the US, Canada and the UAE and shares an 8:30–10:30 am Eastern window. Scheduling across four time zones is part of the job.
What you’ll do
- Source candidates on LinkedIn, Naukri and Internshala, and shortlist them against the role’s written requirements.
- Move each applicant through the stages of applied, conversation, work day and decision, and update the tracker the same day.
- Schedule 45-minute conversations and work days across India, the US, Canada and the UAE, using the shared window wherever possible.
- Reply to applicants in writing, including those we decline, so everyone hears back within ten working days.
- Draft and post listings on Internshala, Naukri, LinkedIn and Wellfound from each role’s description.
- Prepare onboarding documents for new joiners: a welcome note, a checklist of accounts and tools, and a first-week plan.
- Report on time to reply, source of each hire and drop-off at each stage, with one suggestion to improve.
What you’ll need
- Excellent written English: your emails to candidates are warm, clear and short.
- A tracker you’ve built and kept up in Google Sheets, Notion or an ATS, or an event, society or placement drive you coordinated.
- Comfort searching LinkedIn with keywords and filters, and familiarity with Naukri or Internshala as a candidate or a coordinator.
- A working picture of the hiring cycle, from job description through sourcing, screening, interview and offer to onboarding, from coursework, a club or an earlier internship.
- Discretion: you keep candidate details private and know why.
- Availability to commit to the internship’s hours for its full six months, including the 8:30–10:30 am Eastern window on weekdays.
Education: Final-year students and recent graduates from HR, psychology, commerce, business or any other field are welcome. Organized, careful work matters more than your degree.
Nice to have
- Work with a college placement cell, a campus recruitment drive or an earlier recruitment internship.
- Boolean search skills, or experience with Calendly, Google Calendar, Notion or an ATS such as Zoho Recruit, Lever or Greenhouse.
- Awareness of hiring norms in India, the US, Canada or the UAE.
- A sample job description or candidate email you wrote and can share.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
