About the role
Taskly is hiring a Data Analyst Intern (also called a Data Analytics Intern or Business Analyst Intern) for a remote, six-month internship. You will turn the data behind a task marketplace into answers the team can act on. How long does a posted task wait for its first offer, and which tasks never get one?
You will work with the founder and the engineers, querying Postgres through Supabase and building the dashboards the team opens each week. The team is remote across India, the US, Canada and the UAE and shares an 8:30–10:30 am Eastern window every weekday. By month six, you should have a dashboard people rely on and a written analysis that changed a decision.
What you’ll do
- Write SQL against Postgres to answer questions such as how long a task waits for its first offer, and how that differs between Canada and India.
- Clean and join messy exports in Google Sheets, Excel or Python with pandas, and document each step so someone else can repeat it.
- Build dashboards that track the marketplace: tasks posted, offers sent, tasks completed, and where posters drop off in the posting flow.
- Analyze how the AI classifier sorts tasks into about 1,300 subcategories, and flag the categories where tasks often land in the wrong place.
- Compare suggested prices with the offers Taskers actually send, and summarize where the suggestion runs too high or too low.
- Write up each finding in plain language, with one chart, one sentence on why it matters, and a recommended next step.
- Check the numbers you publish by reconciling counts between sources and noting known gaps before anyone decides from them.
What you’ll need
- SQL you can show: SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY and at least one window function, from a project, a course or a practice platform.
- Comfort in Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups and clean charts.
- Basic Python with pandas: loading a CSV, filtering, grouping and plotting.
- One analysis you can walk us through, such as a Kaggle notebook, a college project or a dashboard, with your reasoning written out.
- Clear writing: you can explain a result to someone who has never seen the data.
- Availability to commit to the internship’s hours for its full six months, including the 8:30–10:30 am Eastern window on weekdays.
Education: Final-year students and recent graduates from statistics, engineering, economics, commerce or any other field are welcome. A portfolio of analyses matters more than your degree.
Nice to have
- A dashboard in Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio or Metabase that you can share.
- Basic statistics: A/B tests, confidence intervals or cohort analysis.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) events and reports.
- Experience with a marketplace or two-sided product, such as Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy or Upwork.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.

Yes, if you can commit to the internship’s hours for its duration. Final-year students and recent graduates are both welcome to apply.
