About the role
Taskly is hiring a Full Stack Developer (you may know the role as Full Stack Engineer, Next.js Developer or SDE-2) to build features from the database to the screen. One week that might be the screen where a poster compares three offers. The next, it could be the Stripe Connect payout flow or the queue an admin uses to approve a new Tasker. The work reaches real people, so it has to be correct before it is clever.
You will work in one TypeScript codebase: Next.js 16, React 19, Supabase and Stripe, with tests in Vitest. You report to the founder and ship alongside a small remote team that shares a two-hour window each weekday. Six months in, you should have owned a feature end to end, from schema and Row Level Security to the UI and its tests.
What you’ll do
- Build features end to end in the Next.js App Router: the database change, the API route, the React screen and the tests that cover them. Ship small and often.
- Improve the post-a-task flow, where someone types, speaks or photographs a task and sees it categorized and priced before they post.
- Build the offers experience: how a Tasker sends an offer at a firm price and how a poster compares offers and picks one. Make that choice feel calm, not like reading a spreadsheet.
- Integrate Stripe Connect for Tasker onboarding, payments and payouts, and handle webhooks safely with retries and idempotency.
- Write Supabase Postgres migrations and Row Level Security policies that keep every person to their own data. Test each policy as the person it protects.
- Add realtime updates with Supabase Realtime for messages, offers and the arrival code a Tasker enters at the door.
- Write Vitest tests for the paths where money or trust moves, and review teammates’ pull requests with kind, specific comments.
What you’ll need
- 3+ years building production web apps with React and TypeScript, plus a server-side framework such as Next.js or Node.js.
- Solid SQL and PostgreSQL: schema design, indexes and migrations that run cleanly on live data.
- You have shipped a payments or checkout integration (Stripe preferred) or another API that depends on webhooks.
- Automated tests you wrote for the parts of an app that must not break.
- You can take a vague problem, ask good questions and ship a small first version within days.
- Clear written English for pull requests and short design notes.
Education: A degree in computer science is welcome but not required; what you have built and shipped matters more.
Nice to have
- Supabase experience, including Row Level Security and Realtime.
- React Server Components and the Next.js App Router in production.
- Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
- Building one product for more than one country, currency or language.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
