About the role
The Performance Marketing Manager (you may know the role as Paid Media Manager, Media Buyer or Digital Marketing Manager) owns Taskly’s paid acquisition on Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube and LinkedIn Ads. Taskly has two sides to fill: posters who need a task done and Taskers who want work. You buy both, and make each one pay back. The same city can need Taskers one month and posters the next.
You’ll work with the Growth Marketing Manager, the SEO specialist, the video editor and engineering for tracking. In six months you should run campaigns in Canada and India with clean attribution in GA4, a CAC and payback figure for posters and for Taskers separately, and a testing log that tells the team what to scale.
What you’ll do
- Plan, launch and optimize paid campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube and LinkedIn Ads for poster and Tasker acquisition in Canada and India. Start small, learn quickly and scale only what pays back.
- Set budgets and bids by city and task category, scaling what pays back and cutting what does not. Keep Tasker supply and poster demand in step.
- Own conversion tracking with engineering: GA4, Google Tag Manager, UTM conventions and server-side events, so the numbers can be trusted. Audit them every month.
- Build attribution views that separate posters (posted a task, accepted an offer, paid) from Taskers (applied, approved, first task done).
- Calculate CAC, payback and LTV for each side and each country, and report them weekly in writing. Show the assumptions behind each number.
- Test creative with the video editor and content team: hooks, formats and landing pages, with a log of every result. Brief the video editor with the hook, the offer and the audience.
- Manage ad accounts, billing and policy approvals, and keep ads honest about what Taskly does.
What you’ll need
- 3–7 years running paid media with budgets you managed yourself, across at least two of Google Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube and LinkedIn Ads.
- Hands-on with GA4 and Google Tag Manager; you can debug a broken conversion event yourself.
- Experience calculating CAC, LTV, ROAS and payback, and using them to move budget.
- Experience on campaigns where the conversion happens off the ad platform, such as an app, a form or a booking.
- Spreadsheet skills, and SQL or Looker Studio for building your own reports.
- Comfort writing ad copy and creative briefs, and giving feedback in terms of hooks, offers and audiences.
Education: A degree is welcome but not required; campaigns you ran and the numbers behind them matter more.
Nice to have
- Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
- Campaigns run in both India and a Western market.
- Familiarity with Performance Max, Advantage+ and Google Ads Editor.
- Experience feeding offline or server-side conversions back to ad platforms.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.

Pay isn’t listed here yet. It depends on the country you work from and your experience, and it’s discussed openly in your first conversation.
How do I apply?

We don’t use AI to screen, score or rank applications: a person reads every one. If you upload a resume, AI reads it only to pre-fill your form, and you check every field before you send.
