About the role

The Community Manager (you may know the role as Creator & Community Manager or Creator Partnerships Manager) builds Taskly’s relationships with people outside the team: Taskers, creators who make content about Taskly, and local ambassadors in new cities. You’ll run the groups where Taskers swap tips and the programs that bring new people in. Taskers keep about 80% of the price, and the group is where they learn how to earn it.

You’ll work with operations on Tasker approvals and support, the social media manager and the founder. In six months you should run active WhatsApp or Discord groups for Taskers, have a creator program with terms in writing, and send a monthly note on what the community is telling us.

What you’ll do

  • Create and moderate Tasker groups on WhatsApp and Discord: welcome new Taskers, answer questions and share tips on profiles, offers and earning good reviews. Set the tone from the first message.
  • Find and onboard creators who show real Taskly use, write briefs, agree deliverables and terms in writing, and track what gets published. Choose creators whose audience actually needs the product.
  • Design and run an ambassador program for city launches in the Greater Toronto Area and in India: who qualifies, what they do and how Taskly thanks them. Start in one city and write down what you learn.
  • Host Tasker meetups, online workshops and Q&A sessions, and turn the best stories into content with the Tasker’s permission. Show real people doing real work.
  • Tag feedback from groups and creators by theme, and bring a monthly summary to product and operations. Name the three things Taskers keep asking for.
  • Enforce community rules fairly, and escalate safety or payment complaints to a person who can decide.
  • Measure the work: active members, replies within a day, creator posts published and sign-ups from ambassadors.

What you’ll need

  • 2–5 years in community management, creator partnerships or influencer marketing, with a community you grew or a program you ran.
  • Experience moderating WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, Slack or Facebook groups of several hundred members.
  • Clear writing and a warm, direct manner in both group chats and one-to-one conversations.
  • Organized program tracking in Notion, Airtable or Google Sheets.
  • Confidence hosting a live call or event for 20 to 100 people.
  • Good judgment in sensitive moments: a Tasker upset about a review, a poster who feels let down, a creator who misses a deadline.

Education: A degree is welcome but not required; a community you built matters more.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
  • Experience working with freelancers, gig workers or independent service providers.
  • Run a campus or city ambassador program.
  • Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language.

About Taskly

Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
