About the role
A Trust and Safety Analyst at Taskly (also called Trust & Safety Specialist, Fraud Analyst or Risk Analyst) protects both sides of the marketplace from each other and from bad actors. Taskers are reviewed and approved, and verified with Stripe Identity, before they can send offers. You make the review calls, work the moderation queues and track the fraud patterns that rules and automation alone miss. The work is part detective, part editor, and always about being fair to the person on the other side.
You would work with the founder, support, marketplace operations and the engineers who build the moderation and approval tools. Six months in, success looks like consistent, documented approval decisions and a moderation queue that does not pile up. It also looks like a few fraud patterns you caught early and turned into rules.
What you’ll do
- Review Tasker applications. Check the Stripe Identity result, profile details and category claims, then approve, ask for more or decline, with the reason written down.
- Work the moderation queues for task posts, photos, messages and comments, handling what the automated moderation flags and what it misses.
- Investigate disputes and reports by collecting messages, door-code arrival records and photos. Write up the facts for the person who decides.
- Spot fraud patterns such as duplicate identities, off-platform payment requests, review manipulation and refund abuse. Propose rules against them.
- Write and maintain the policies and decision guides that keep reviews consistent across reviewers and countries. Test each new rule against past cases before it goes live.
- Handle safety escalations quickly and calmly, and know when to involve the founder or outside experts. Write down what happened afterward so the next analyst can learn from it.
- Report on queue size, decision times, appeal outcomes and false positives every week, along with what you would change.
What you’ll need
- 2+ years in trust and safety, fraud, risk, KYC, identity verification or content moderation, ideally at a marketplace, fintech or social platform.
- Hands-on SQL and Google Sheets, enough to find accounts that share a device, phone number or payout account, and to explain why they probably belong together.
- Experience writing policies or decision guides that several reviewers apply the same way.
- Familiarity with identity verification flows such as Stripe Identity, Persona, Onfido or Jumio.
- Steady judgment with sensitive or distressing reports, and written reasons that hold up when a decision is appealed.
Education: A degree is welcome but not required. Sound judgment and clear written reasons matter more.
Nice to have
- Experience at a marketplace (Airbnb, Uber, Urban Company, Swiggy, Airtasker, TaskRabbit, Upwork) or another two-sided product.
- Experience reviewing or testing LLM-based moderation, including labeling examples and measuring errors.
- Python for analysis, or knowledge of privacy rules such as PIPEDA and India’s DPDP Act.
- Experience with background-check or professional-license verification for service providers.

About Taskly
Taskly is a marketplace for getting anything done. Someone posts a task in their own words — typed, spoken or as a photo — and people who have been reviewed and approved send offers at a firm price. They pick one, and it gets done: a TV mounted, a website built, a parent taught to use their phone. We’re live in Canada and India and opening to more countries, built by a small team that works remotely across India, the US, Canada and the UAE.
Questions about this role
Straight answers to what people ask most.
Is the Trust and Safety Analyst role remote?
Yes, fully remote. You can work from India, the United States, Canada or the United Arab Emirates, and the team overlaps for two hours each weekday: 8:30–10:30 am Eastern · afternoon in Dubai, evening in India.
How much experience do I need?
About 2–5 years. It’s a guide, not a cut-off: if you can do the work described here, apply.
What does the Trust and Safety Analyst role pay?
Pay isn’t listed here yet. It depends on the country you work from and your experience, and it’s discussed openly in your first conversation.
How do I apply?
Upload your resume on the application page and answer a few short questions. It takes about five minutes, with no cover letter and no account. A person replies within ten working days, yes or no.
What does the hiring process look like?
A 45-minute conversation with the person you’d work beside, then one paid day on a real problem, then a decision in writing, with the reason.
Will I review sensitive content?
Yes, sometimes. Task posts, photos and reports can include upsetting material, so the role has written escalation steps and you will never be expected to handle a safety concern alone.

We don’t use AI to screen, score or rank applications: a person reads every one. If you upload a resume, AI reads it only to pre-fill your form, and you check every field before you send.
Taskly is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome people of every background, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation and nationality, and we don’t ask about any of them. If anything about the process doesn’t work for you, tell us in your application and we’ll change it.
