How it works

Three steps. You see every price before you agree, and you only pay for an offer you accept.

  1. Step 1

    Describe it, free

Say what you need in a sentence or two. Posting costs nothing.

  2. Step 2

Get offers from people who’ve done it

Taskers who have done this before send an offer with their own price. Ask questions, then pick one.

  3. Step 3

Pay, and it’s held until done

Accept an offer and pay. Taskly holds the payment until you say the work is done.

Good questions

The things people ask before they post in Canada.

  • 01

What does career guidance and mentorship cost in Canada?

Most of it falls between C$30–250, depending on how much you need. Each Tasker names their own price in their offer, so you see the cost before you agree to anything.

  • 02

Should I put a low GPA on my resume?

If a posting doesn't ask for it, many students leave it off and lead with projects and experience. If your recent term GPA is stronger, some list that instead, labelled clearly.

  • 03

What should I prepare for an IT career counselling session?

Your resume, certifications, a list of tools you use weekly, and two or three postings you'd apply to if you felt qualified. Note your salary floor and whether you'd accept a short-term pay cut.

  • 04

What should I prepare for a code review mentoring call?

Pick one pull request per call, strip out client names and secrets, and write two or three questions about decisions you were unsure of. Have the app running so you can show behaviour, not just code.

  • 05

    How does paying work?

Posting is free. When you accept an offer you pay the agreed price. Your money is held by Taskly until you confirm the task is done. If you don’t, it’s released three days after your Tasker marks it finished — unless you report a problem.

  • 06

    Who are the Taskers?

People who have done what you need: worked at the company, passed the exam, made the move. Every Tasker is reviewed and approved by a person before they work.

What do you need done?

Tell us in a sentence. People who’ve done it send offers.
